Great CPU
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son and I built a gaming computer using this cpu and a 6700XT. ASRock 760 motherboard and ddr5 ram. Great cpu, very snappy and plays all his games great. Got it on sale for less than $200. Plus upgrade ability if he ever decides to go 13th gen cpu. No need yet.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was nervous about getting an i5. I don’t know why…but I was. I’ve had an i7 4790k for almost 8 years, and it has been a powerhouse. I love it. Anyway, I tried to do a more budget conscious build, and decided on the 12600k instead of the 12900k. Boy, was I shocked. This sucker is like lightning compared to the 4790k, and it supports all the shiny new doodads on my motherboard. My nvme is screaming, and my 3060 Ti is actually getting warm now that it can reach its potential. I’m seriously impressed. I haven’t overclocked it yet, but it’s coming. I paired it with a Noctua DH15s. I really didn’t want it, but it’s all that was in stock when I needed a cooling tower. The 12600k stays in upper teens, low 20’s at idle, and hasn’t exceeded 54c under load. This is a great processor that I would not hesitate to recommend or buy again!

Q: QuestionHow does this compare to 5600x for Gaming?
Asked by Deeno.
- A:Answer Practically, there would be no difference. At the level these two chips operate, your gaming performance will be dictated and limited by your GPU. Theoretically, you could set up a game in such a way that the GPU bottleneck is minimized and run some benchmarks to discover that this chip will be faster, but you wouldn't notice that difference when you're actually playing. If you have a 5600X and want a gaming upgrade, don't get this - or any other CPU. Upgrade your GPU. If you have an older platform and are planning on an upgrade then this chip is faster across the board. It's also a less expensive part, however the overall platform costs, at the time of writing, are higher.

Q: QuestionDoes the Intel i5 processor come with windows 10 pre-installed
Asked by Tommie.
- A:Answer Don’t we all wish Windows was standard… well technically Windows 10 is on your Storage/hard Drive… so if your scrapping your old computer take the hard drive and put it in the new one… you just need the windows key from the old computer actually.
